High functional safety and the best possible maintenance of value can only be achieved by ensuring correct handling (even with changing crews) and proper maintenance. The more complex and numerous the on-board systems, the more suggested is the issue of an individual technical manual.

More and more yachts are equipped with a permanentely installed on-board computer or at least temporarily, a mobile one. Therefore, it lends itself to manage the maintenance and the spare parts logistics by means of the computer.
